Loopings

Threading

The JOY TOY  LOOPINGS are wooden games designed to encourage the child to develop various groups of skills. The range of development comprises colours, shapes, numbers, concepts, fantasy, social contact, movement, sensual development (hearing, vision, touch…) etc. It is important to know that there are no rules of play and no right or wrong judgements: the child`s fantasy controls the game. Loopings exercise children`s fine motor system, which is important for their further development.

The JOY TOY  THREADING engage young children in imaginative play as they assist the rope through a wooden object. This pretend play is ripe with possibilities. Threading the rope in and out of holes also helps develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Holding the rope during threading mimics the action of holding other objects, especially writing utensils like pencils, crayons and markers. Controlling and guiding the rope through the various holes conditions children for writing. Children can count each time they thread the rope through the wooden object. From in and out to top and bottom, backwards and forwards and up and down, there are all kinds of ways to reinforce the concept of opposites. Children learn self-control and stay focused on accomplishing tasks.
